Our Voice Over IP (VoIP) service runs through your internet connection and requires mains power to operate. This means It will only work if:

​

• You have power

• Your internet is running

 

We recommend having a backup option like:

• A mobile phone (if you have cell reception)

• A power backup (for power cuts to ensure your internet and VoIP system can still operate) - Talk to us if you want to know what we recommend.
   

This is especially important for emergency calls.

The VoIP system & phone will not be able to call out to emergency services if it doesn't have power or internet - unlike phones on copper lines.

 

Services like monitored alarms or medical alerts may not work over VoIP. ​​If you rely on a phone line for these services, we strongly recommend talking to us and checking with your provider to ensure compatibility with our  system.​​​​
